How to choose your Samsung Galaxy Watch strap
1. Check your case size and attachment system
Samsung uses 3 distinct, non-interchangeable attachment systems:
- Group 1 - standard 20 mm bar: Galaxy Watch 4, 4 Classic, 5, 5 Pro, 6, 6 Classic, 7 (plus Watch Active 2 and Watch FE). 20 mm straps are freely interchangeable between these models.
- Group 2 - Dynamic Lug System: Galaxy Watch 8 and 8 Classic only. Proprietary Samsung attachment, dedicated Watch 8 straps.
- Group 3 - Lug Ultra: Galaxy Watch Ultra only. Proprietary Lug, dedicated Ultra straps.
Therefore, a Group 1 strap cannot be fitted to a Watch 8 or an Ultra, and vice versa. Always check your exact model.
The case size (40 mm, 44 mm, 45 mm, 47 mm) mainly influences the visual appearance: a thin strap on a large case can seem unbalanced, and vice versa. Our product sheets provide recommendations by model and size.

- Sport: breathable silicone, perforated silicone, sporty braided nylon for running, gym, triathlon

3. Material

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a Clipz-it strap compatible with both the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 8?
No. The Watch 4 uses a standard 20 mm bar (Group 1), while the Watch 8 uses a proprietary Dynamic Lug System (Group 2): two different attachments, so one strap won't fit both. However, a Group 1 strap covers Watch 4, 5, 6, 7 and their Classic/Pro versions.
What about the Galaxy Watch 3 or Gear?
These older models use other sizes (e.g., 22 mm on Watch 3 45 mm). Contact us with your exact model.
Watch Ultra compatibility?
The Galaxy Watch Ultra uses a proprietary lug (Group 3), distinct from the 20 mm bar and the Dynamic Lug. Choose a strap specifically advertised as Watch Ultra compatible; our Ultra models are selected for this system.
