It depends on the generation. On Series 1, 2 and 3, the 42mm case takes 44, 45, 46 and 49mm straps. On Series 10 and 11, the 42mm case takes 38, 40, 41 and 42mm straps. The size is engraved on the back of the watch; also enter your Series in the search to avoid mistakes.

These are two different attachment systems, even at the same width. QuickFit is used on the Fenix range and the Instinct, among others; Quick Release is used on the Venu, the Vivoactive and several Forerunner models, among others. A QuickFit 22 mm strap does not fit a Quick Release 22 mm attachment. The search by model sorts this out for you.
