Contents
The Garmin Venu 3 is an AMOLED smartwatch focused on health, sleep and light exercise. Its bright display and design suit both the gym and the office. The supplied silicone strap suits exercise, but a different strap gives you another way to wear the watch.
You may keep the strap supplied with your watch out of habit. Over time, the original silicone can discolour, retain odours and become less supple. A second strap, chosen for how you use your watch, gives you another look. It lets you customise your Venu 3 without replacing the device.
Changing the strap lets you adapt your Venu 3 to the occasion: milanese mesh for an evening out, silicone for sport, without using tools. Here is our selection by style, with materials and checked compatibility.
Our recommendation
For your Garmin Venu, our first recommendations are Alvéole, Maillon, Rhythm and Motion. Each strap below has been checked for its connector type (QuickFit and Quick Release are not interchangeable): check your exact watch model before ordering.

Which connector does the Venu 3 use?
Expert answer
The Venu 3 is primarily a lifestyle watch: its stainless steel case lends itself to a strap that complements the finish. Stainless steel milanese mesh or structured vegan leather are options for a consistent look at the office. For exercise, switch to a silicone strap using Quick Release.
Marc Lefèvre: smartwatch accessories specialist
The Venu 3 uses a Quick-Release 22 mm connector. This is a conventional spring bar with a small lever you retract with your fingernail. Position the strap, release the lever and check that it is seated. No tools or screws are needed.
To check, turn the watch over and look between the lugs. A thin metal bar with a movable lever identifies Quick-Release. This system differs from the QuickFit clip used on Fenix models, even at the same width, and the two are not interchangeable.
The more compact Venu 3S does not use the 22 mm width. Check your exact model before ordering: the model name is sometimes engraved on the back of the case.
Silicone, milanese mesh or stainless steel: which material?
The Venu 3 suits three main types of material, each with a different use. Knowing the differences helps you choose a small selection of straps.
Silicone is an option for sport and everyday use. It is lightweight and easy to rinse after exercise. The perforated version has ventilation holes for longer sessions and suits the Venu 3's activity tracking role.
Milanese mesh gives a different look. Its fine stainless steel weave and magnetic clasp add a jewellery-like finish while remaining flexible and lightweight. It dresses up the watch for the office and evenings out, but is intended for dry use, away from the pool.
A stainless steel link strap gives a more formal look. Heavier and more traditional, it turns the Venu 3 into a dress watch. You will need to adjust its length when you first fit it.
Our selection by style
Four straps, four styles. Each is compatible with Quick-Release 22 mm and was in stock at the time of writing.
Alvéole
For a dress look
The Venu 3 combines style with health tracking, and Alvéole in milanese mesh adds a jewellery-like finish. Its fine weave suits both the office and dinner. The magnetic clasp adjusts to your wrist. An option for giving your Venu a different look from its sports strap.

Alvéole
Stainless steel milanese mesh with a magnetic clasp. A dress-watch look with tool-free adjustment.
Maillon
For formal wear
To give your Venu 3 a dress-watch look, choose Maillon in stainless steel. Its links add weight and a traditional finish to the AMOLED smartwatch. An option if you wear your Venu throughout the day, including meetings. Allow for a length adjustment when you first fit it.

Maillon
Stainless steel links for a classic watch look. A formal option in the selection.
Rhythm
For sport
Your Venu 3 also tracks your workouts, and Rhythm is designed for that use. Its perforated silicone has ventilation holes for longer sessions and can be rinsed after exercise. A lightweight, discreet option for sport and sleep tracking.
Rhythm
Perforated silicone for sport and movement. The holes allow airflow around your wrist.
Motion
For everyday wear
Motion lets you change colour to match your outfit. Its flexible silicone is an option for daily wear and can be rinsed clean. Ten colours let you match your Venu 3 to your style for the day. It also works as a second strap to keep ready when you want a change.

Changing the strap without tools
Quick-Release makes the change straightforward. Push the spring-bar lever inwards with your fingernail, remove the old strap, position the new one, insert one end and release the lever into the lug. Pull gently to check that the spring bar is seated correctly.
For care, rinse silicone with fresh water after exercise and leave it to air-dry. Hand-wash milanese mesh occasionally, and keep leather and stainless steel away from water. These steps help you clean the material and manage odours.
Compatibility with other models
Several Garmin watches share the Quick-Release 22 mm connector. A strap bought for your Venu 3 will also fit the Venu 2, the 45 mm Vivoactive 4 and the Forerunner 255 and 265. Useful if you own several watches or change models and want to keep using your straps.
This 22 mm width is also used by Instinct 2 and Instinct 3 45 mm, although the larger case gives a different look. Before sharing a strap between two watches, check the width to confirm compatibility.
